[plug] doing an upgrade

Hey Jon

The time has come to do a upgrade of a Debian box system files.  One of the

Upgrading the kernel should be fine as the system will continue using the
existing kernel until a reboot. You can postpone a reboot until you're
onsite if you're really worried but it'll probably be fine to reboot
remotely.
