it as a Debian Package, which you can then install the normal Debian
ways. The one I had was a library, and from memory it put the library in
/usr/lib, which is standard for Debian. (When you have tight package
infrastructure, you CAN throw all libs in the libs dir, all bins in the
/usr/bin/ dir, etc... ^_^)
