Hello all,
Another two months have passed, and its time for another Pub meet! We're
at the *Moon & Six Pence on Murray Street* in the city on Monday evening
(28th), right after work (so, what's that, 6:30 onwards?). There's no
set agenda; just come and talk tech... and meet people!
A reminder that our next presentation is on our usual /2nd Tuesday of
the Month/ - this time *Tuesday 12th June at City West Lotteries House*,
West Perth, with Amazon's Simon Elisha flying in from Melbourne to talk
to us about Amazon Web Services - EC2 and associated services, otherwise
known as the Amazon Cloud.
As always, check the calendar on the PLUG web site.
If you've got a presentation or topic you'd like to see, please let us
know (come along on Monday and tell us).
For those that have been following the video project; PLUG has now spent
over $8,000 on equipment, thanks to Lottery West. At the workshop held
this week at UWA (Thanks to the UCC), we got to put together the new
cameras and tripods, and rest of the equipment. If you'd like to learn
about this, then subscribe to the *AV* mailing list
(http://lists.plug.org.au/mailman/listinfo/av) and express an interest!
A few more jobs have started to filter through the PLUG *jobs* mailing
list (http://lists.plug.org.au/mailman/listinfo/jobs), so jump on (or
off) of that list if you're interested.
If you're looking to help out with LCA 2014 bid, or Software Freedom Day
in September, then subscribe to the *userconf* mailing list
(http://lists.plug.org.au/mailman/listinfo/userconf) for discussion there.
See you Monday at the Moon & Six Pence for a drink.
James
