[plug] What programming languages are popular in Perth?

1. Javascript, PHP, Protium (in-house language), VB6 (yes, it's still out
there), Perl, SQL, and a few others as the need arises (C, Delphi, Ada,
Assembler, Fortran)

2. Never having specialised in anything, it comes down more to what I'd
"like" rather than what I prefer.
    2.1 I'd like to do some COBOL. I haven't done anything with that since
1983 and now, with OpenCOBOL, there's a powerful compiler that doesn't cost
two arms and a leg to own.
    2.2 I'd like to develop some mobile device programming skills
    2.3 I'd like to learn NVIDIA's CUDA -- the Dr Dobbs article at <
http://ubm.io/LSYIzh> sounds very interesting
