[plug] Ubuntu 13.04 Nvidia graphics drivers

Hi Shanon 

I've had some issues with some variants of the lower end nvidia cards being rather crap and needing specific versions of the nvidia drivers installed to work right. 

What is the specific card in question?

Hi all 

I cant for the life of me get nvidia going after an installation (over 12.10) of 13.04 (not an upgrade, but not a clean format and install either - the clean format and install is last option). 

Ive apt-got nvidia-current and then purged and either way I log into to a desktop wallpaper and thats it - no menus or top bar or anything. 

Askubuntu says http://askubuntu.com/questions/285627/unity-does-not-start-in-ubuntu-13-04 
but running 

unity --reset-icons &disown 

gives me a whole bunch of OpenGL errors / screen /device not found. I dont think the nvidia showed up on cat /proc/bus/devices either, which isnt good...
