[plug] LCA2014 and PLUG membership

Hey PLUG members and Linux Open Source enthusiasts

We are proud to announce that core members of Perth Linux Users Group are
running linux.conf.au 2014 in Perth WA. This will be held at UWA during
January 2014.

The conference is entered around current technical aspects of Linux and
also contains many very talented open source and free software speakers
from Australia, New Zealand and the world.

There are many rapidly growing areas such as Arduino, Cloud, SKA radio
telescope, Astronomy, Open Radio, Big data, Mobile tablet development, Open
Government, Developer Testing release, File Systems, Virtualization, Open
Source business, Systems Administration, Home automation, Multimedia Audio
Video(this is PLUG's speciality , HA, Big Data, Clusters, Web development,
Open Hardware and many more.

Preparations are well under way with venues, social events and
accommodation secured.
Speakers papers have been accepted and we are half way through choosing our
keynotes and organising the many other small things with organising and
running a conference.

We would like to extend an invitation to all of you to join us at
linux.conf.au 2014 - "Great conference, great community".

Registrations are still open and there are still student and hobbyist

Our team is very excited and working hard on linux.conf.au 2014 including
AV and Networking.

For those of you have not been super active in PLUG lately now is the time
to renew your membership and also get involved in attending or helping with
linux.conf.au 2014. http://plug.org.au/membership

There are volunteer spots available which could give you a free pass to
linux.conf.au 2014 plus other VIP access. Email Euan on

PLUG will be trying to get more Linux and Open Source speakers over for
2014 and run more events such as Software Freedom day and more monthly
talks.
