Hey,

Plugs still running monthly talks and bimonthly pub sessions.

The IRC is working as well. It's not hugely active it, but does have
consistent levels of users watching.

There's a lot happening in the tech scene in Perth these days with
fairly regular hackathon style events taking place.

This weekend there is Unearthed which is a Resources Industry focused
hackathon http://unearthed.solutions/

Later in the year there is GovHack a Government focused hackathon -
http://www.govhack.org/

There was recently the Hack the Festival, a techno arts Hackathon,
this is likely to become an annual event. -

There's also a bunch of other monthly tech focused meetups which you
can find on the meetup page.

The Spacecubed event calendar is also worthwhile keeping an eye on.
They regularly have cool talks and programs run out of there. -

For web stuff there's Port80 which in addition to running monthly
meetups, run an annual web conf called Edge of the Web. This year it's
next week - http://www.eotw.com.au/

Does anyone know of any other tech events/hackathons that occur in Perth?

cheers,
luke
Kind Regards
Luke John
