PLUG + POSH Hack Afternoon
The monthly PLUG + POSH Hack Afternoon is a language/platform agnostic
hack session. Bring your favourite or interesting project and a love
of code, or any other tech project that you're interested in. We'll be
hosting it in person @ the Artifactory, as well as online. You can
access it at this URL on the day: https://meetings.ucc.asn.au/b/plug
If attending in person there is a $5 entrance fee (yes the price has
recently been reduced!)
Tuesday 14th June, 18:00 - 21:00
Our June talk is Building Websites on the Cheap With Hugo, presented
by James Henstridge
James will talk about the Hugo static website generator. Websites
served as static files have a smaller attack surface for security
bugs, easier to migrate between hosting providers, and generally
cheaper to host.
Hugo together with Git can provide some of the content management
features that would otherwise be missing in a static site.
