[plug] xfce on raspberry pi

Hi Margaret,

>From my understanding you can set any raspberry pi running bookworm to boot
to cli mode rather than desktop mode. It’s listed under the general
raspi-config settings and can be accessed from a terminal emulator or tty.

As for your problems with the desktop environment, the latest pi OS
(bookworm) is running Wayland instead of xorg. Xfce does have some Wayland
support but at this stage it’s rather limited, which would explain why you
can boot to the desktop but are having problems with some of it’s ecosystem
tooling. Does the pi need to run Xfce or are you open to other lightweight
desktop options that are Wayland compatible?
