Can't really help on the tech specs. I run a pair of TP-Link EAP265 at home.
They do have the management fruit if you need to fiddle, but I just use them "set and forget". They're blocked at the firewall from phoning home, because TP-Link had several firmware versions where they insisted on sending data back to the TP-Link "cloud" whether you wanted them to or not. That was finally fixed in the last release anyway.
I didn't want the house to look like a hospital with WAPs hanging, so I've sat both of them inside the ceiling.
Just as effective, yet invisible. "Wife approved".
