[plug] Help needed with venues for PLUG event hosting

As you've probably noticed, we have had to cancel the last few monthly
meetings at Spacecubed. This occurred because our existing sponsorship
arrangement with the venue came to an end and we have not yet
organised a replacement.

So I am sending this email in the hope that someone might have some
leads on organising a venue for future events. The main things that we
liked about our current venue was:

1. Located centrally, with good public transport access
2. After hours access, since we have been running events from ~ 6:30pm onwards.
3. Internet access, which we have used to stream and record events.
4. Free

I realise we might not be able to get all of these for a replacement
venue, so price is not necessarily a disqualifying factor. I think the
formal meetings are an important part of the group, so I think
spending some membership dues on venues would be reasonable provided
costs aren't excessive.

Attendance numbers vary, but have usually been 10-15 attendees. If
anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful.

Alternatively, if anyone has a Spacecubed membership (or is thinking
about joining) and would be willing to act as host, we might be able
to hold events there again. As I understand it, there is no additional
fee to host a meetup:

While we don't currently have any formal meetings planned, we do have
other events in the calendar:

* Saturday 20th September 4:30pm: PLUG in the Pub at the Pirate Bar,
Mt Hawthorne. We chose this date to help celebrate Software Freedom
Day.

* Sunday 12th October at midday: PLUG+POSH Hack afternoon at the
Artifactory, Osbourne Park.

* Wednesday 26th November: PLUG in the Pub at The Island at Elizabeth Quay.

I hope to see you at these events.
