[PLUG-AV] Video problems last night

Hi Jason,

Thanks for putting the video up.

Hmmm, Not very happy with the audio.

We really need to get some end to end testing/calibration done.

The gain on the ALSA card on the AV2 box should be matched to our mixer
levels.

We also need to review how we wire the mixer up.

I was mostly flying blind as we couldn't set the headphone and master
outputs at the same level due to having the room speakers wired in which
shared the headphone output.

I think next time we'll wire the recording line out to the control
room/headphone output, and we can use the master signal for the room,
it's a compromise as we lose the use of the fader for control, and the
meter bridge lights don't correlate to what we're recording either.

Once we get the new AV2 laptop, I'd like to grab it for a bit and set up
the menu items, and just run through all of this stuff so we get
something repeatable.

Regards,

Euan.
