Hi AV

As the only person on the planet without a Pi I'd happy have someone's
recycled one to save the planet from even more unused stuff. I may recycle it
as a quiz prize next year if you understand my agenda here ;-)

In fact, any recycled embedded eval boards PC/104, MiniITx etc etc that is
known working and has some Linux support of sorts. That way you can give out
whimsical prizes on a whim that could have value for someone wanting to
evaluate or experiment.

I have an IT person a few houses away that said he has one (Pi) and do I want
it for anything and it got me thinking that neglected pieces of hardware would
benefit hackers if they are passed around (dust optional but blackened
components absent .. stuff that works). I have some myself that I haven't
gotten to that I'll offer up as prizes that can be rejected or returned to me
if they aren't considered useful to anyone.

This is slightly similar to the way UCC has a bunch of prizes for selection at
the UCC/Unisfa quiz nights. Prize organising might just be a request on the
PLUG list describing the above ?

Just my 2c worth on prizes that will attract me to the quiz night ;-)
