I've since changed jobs so don't have access to the mail servers, but
we were regularly seeing long retry intervals from (some?) BigPond
servers. I can't quite remember, but some were certainly more than a
day. In the vast majority of cases it didn't matter, but I found it
interesting nonetheless. I actually doubt it is all of their SMTP
servers, and I hope that those sorts of odd configurations get slowly
phased out with replacement machines etc. Meanwhile, we enjoyed great
spam reduction from using greylisting.
