well, there are several versions of mount-2.7l.
[summer at possum summer]$ rpm -qf `which mount` /usr/sbin/smbmount
mount-2.7l-3
smbfs-2.0.1-2
The version I have ships with RH 5.1 and fitted onto my 5.0 system quite
nicely. If you don't have it, see
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/distributions/redhat/redhat-5.1/i386/RedHat/RPMS/mount-2.7l-3.i386.rpm
or
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/distributions/redhat/redhat-5.1/SRPMS/SRPMS/mount-2.7l-3.src.rpm
smbfs is up to
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/distributions/redhat/contrib/i386/smbfs-2.0.2-1.i386.rpm
There are 2.1 versions - in directories called "dontuse."

Might mean "wasn't tesred, no probs reported." Ask Chris Ricker
(kaboom at gatech.edu) (as the docs recommend).
