I second that - they're absolutely wonderful to use and they just never
have the sort of sticking and grot-buildup problems you get with ball
mice, and without the downsides of optical mice. Many old DEC pucks work
in a similar manner.

Mine has three buttons - you don't see them advertised as often as the
two button version, but they're definitely available, just ask. The
downside is... they seem to work in software by sending the equivalent
of pressing both outside buttons at once.

Speaking of the DEC pucks - has anyone heard of _mouse_ drivers for
the 8 bit ISA DEPCA cards? They work perfectly well as Ethernet cards
under Linux (perfectly well for 8 bit Ethernet cards, that is <grin>),
but they also have a mouse port, missing from the 16 bit DEPCA versions
that I've seen.
