Further to my original response and what Mike Holland said, I think that
like me your eyesight
is not the best and you may have been confused about i, I, 1, 0, and O!
In DOS the parallel ports
are LPT-1 , LPT-2 etc in Linux the equivalents are lp0 lp1, i.e.
"lp-zero" and lp-one etc."
Check these again, and perhaps your Filter(s) will do their thing.
I have an Epson Stylus 600 as lp0 and an Epson 1500 lookalike as lp1.
Obviously if you have only
one printer connected it must be lp0. if connected to the LPT-1 port. If
this fails to correct your
problem I suggest that you re-run the RH-6.1 installation with minimal
selected options, and
carefully check the Printer install option. Let me know how you get
on,
Cheers and regards, Len Bird
