[plug] Experience with 10/100 Dual Speed Hubs

G'day all,
I'm after some advice.
After some spectacular failures with my little dosemu project (Hi Garth!
:p) )
I have decided to simply brute force a solution with 100BaseT networks
instead.
I have a system with 24 ports at the moment, and I want to upgrade 3 or
4 of them
to 100baseT.
The card in the sever is an EEPRO 10/100.
What I'm thinking of doing is grabbing a dual speed hub, hanging that
straight
off the server, and hanging the 100BaseT runs off that, then plugging
the
existing 10BaseT hubs into one of the Dual speed ports..
Thus only having to upgrade the machines I need to upgrade..

As an aside, the main failing of my dosemu attempt is some strange
incompatibility with the software, particular to chaining to other
files from within the database. I'll keep working on it.
In regard to the suggestions of using microsoft networking to lock the
filesystems, it seems this is now possible as you can have each dosemu
session have it's own emulated network adaptor. Provided you get the
routing table set up right, it looks like you could do it.
Something else to play with anyway.

In response to your question John, regarding running it under OS/2,
I'm not sure if it will run, it uses the 4gl dos extender in dmpi mode.
I am looking at other solutions at the moment, but will keep that in
mind if all else fails.

Thanks for your advice everyone..
