[plug] Experience with 10/100 Dual Speed Hubs

Brad (and anybody else reading this :)

It will work, I've done it ... but....

Can I suggest getting a second net card for the server, and make your dual
speed hub a switch (if you have multiple servers or a router) and setting up
some nifty virtual networks...

Of course, if you have just the one server that does everything, just tie
the 100 hub into the 100 card on the server, and the old 10 hub into the 10
card on the server, and this will split things nicely (might be an idea to
enable IP forwarding :)

Also, I have had problems with straight 10/100 hubs - they have two circuits
& therefore two networks - one at 10, one at 100 - this may alleviate the
need for a switch, but will still require two feeds from the server - one at
each speed ... I found out this one the hard way...

Leaving just the one card in the server will not work, it'll initialise to
one speed and ignore the other...

Sorry, can't help with dosemu...

This Murphy person has a lot to answer for!
