as root 
edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0

change the line
DEBUG=no 
to
DEBUG=yes

Try the connection and post the pppd and chat output to the list.
Be carefull as this output may contain you password in clear text so edit that
line before sending it.A

I'm guessing that the connection isn't completing fully :(
