[plug] inetd

I have two identical machines running RH 5.2

/etc/hosts.deny reads something like:

ALL:PARANOID
ALL:ALL

/etc/hosts.allow is something like:

# Allow local network
in.telnetd: 10.0.

# Allow connections from iiNet
in.telnetd: .iinet.net.au

# Allow local users to read mailbox
ipop3d: 10.0.

... There are a few extra things I put but don't really need to be
disclosed.

Computer A works like a treat. It allows telnet from iinet and my local net
and rejects everything else.
Computer B doesn't work properly. It actually rejects all incoming
connections. I can't even ping the server from iinet. Also, it allows
communication over the local net, but will not let anything go outside to
the internet.

It is driving me insane, esp since both servers are configured exactly the
same.

Anyone got any ideas?

Regards,

Rob Hall
