Garth and Jeremy,

here is what was put in the daemon file after I changed the login.config to
the setting said by Jeremy.

if you see on the lines marked with ****'s the first line shows that I can
login and that it gets the right name and pass,

but then down at the next ****'s it says that the peer disconnected and I
was wondering if this was a problem with my settings in the options file?

if I am to assign an IP to the peer should I have this in the options.ttyS0
file?

and also do I need to have setup things like DNS address's, or hosts or an
interface if I am only planning to connect these two machines and pass files
between them?

Am I pretty close to getting this connection going I feel like its just
around the corner, fingers crossed that it is.

BTW I reckon I owe you guy's a couple beers for helping me  :-)
