I completely agree with this.  The Couriers were what we used in Burma -
which has the worst possible communications connections in the world - and
they worked like a charm.  Our problem was that they cost us US$250 each,
but every client we convinced to spend the additional $200 (compared to the
'standard' modem available there) never had a problem again.  They were also
the *only* modem out of the 50-odd that we tested that would handle an IDD
call in/out of that country - nothing else could negotiate or hold a
connection for more than about 30 seconds.
