Hi all it seems I have made a real mess of things on my Linuxbox
What I have is the following
1) Redhat 6.1
2) permanet ip 203.57.132.141 squirrel-gw.kal.emerge.net.au
3) wondoze 98 comps 191.168.1.2 192.168.1.3
4) all machines can ping each other
5) all machines can access the internet but only if i place the isp dns in the TCIP properties (win98)

I have apache and squid running I have removed sendmail and installed the latest postfix
The windows comps have a gateway which points to my Linux comp 192.168.1.1
I have rc.firewall setup and it works correctly
The windows machines can access the internet without haveing the isp nos in the TCIP properties via browsers which point to the squid proxy

1 I cannot sendmail locally even via a terminal
2 Unless I place the isp dns ip-nos in the windows comps I cannot ping from a windows dos prompt to the outside (internet)
3 I have my isp dns nos in /etc/resolve.conf

The output from ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:80:48:FD:F9:21
          inet addr:192.168.1.1 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0

ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol
          inet addr:203.57.132.141 P-t-P:203.57.130.19 Mask:255.255.255.255

          TX packets:2504 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:10

The output from route
192.168.1.1 * 255.255.255.255 UH 0 0 0 eth0

Question should the route table have 203.57.132.141 ( My permanet ip no) listed and if so how do I do that.
Should /etc/ppp/options have mention to 203.57.132.141
Do I need to setup Bind 8 for squirrel-gw-kal.emerge.net.au 203.57.132.141
I hope this is enough info for someone to resolve my problems thank you
