[plug] Mal formed ping packets

Pluggers,

At in determinate times if I ping a computer through our frame relay
network I get malformed packet responses (sorry no dump as example). I
have never seen this before usually only a success or fail type message.
Can someone shed some light on its meaning and where to take my
investigations further?
