[plug] Quick Perl/DBI job

Sorry if this is slightly off-topic but I'd be glad to hear from any
proficient Perl/DBI programmers because I retained someone on contract
for a job in (September?) which was due in October and it still isn't
done.  He says it will take another 8 hours but he has a history of
failed deadlines and I need an insurance policy in case he doesn't
follow through with that promise.  He is happy to provide all the code,
database design documents etc., and explain it to anyone who needs to
take it over from him.  This is very time critical now, deadline is
(prior to) 3 January 2000.  Most of it is done so it should be a fairly
quick job to complete.  I can pay $30-(at a stretch)$40 per hour (we are
way over-budget already but I've got to get this finished).
