[plug] Redhat 6.0 - killing X

hi,

1) open /etc/inittab. Make a backup of it

2) Find the line
	id:4:initdefault

3) Change it to
	id:3:initdefault

4) run the command to update the world
	init q

This will kill X and not have it start on bootup
