Hmmm... this isn't really a sensible thing to say since it leads people
to believe that Debian is in some way secure -- most of the
Linux-related security problems discovered affect Debian as much as Red
Hat (et al).  There are very few "Debian-specific" vulnerabilities
(probably about as many as there are Red Hat-specific problems) and it
would be worrying if there were!  But this certainly doesn't make Debian
intrinsically more secure than any run-of-the-mill Linux.  There are
lots of exploits on rootshell.com which could be used on insecure (i.e.,
badly managed) Debian systems... (of course, rootshell isn't really what
it once was -- it sort of lost credibility since it got broken into last
year...).  If you really want to check the security of your system then
I would advise you to check out the vendor's security pages (eg,
http://www.debian.org/security/) or a site like www.securityfocus.com.
