Well, if you're not "allowed" to be running Linux then I guess you don't
have much choice. But if a company does support non-Wintel clients then
it should follow that they support the Outlook web interface. Another
way might be to configure all your Outlook mail to be forwarded to your
Linux box but I don't know enough about Exchange to comment on how
effective this would be.

I've been using mutt lately having gotten extraordinarily pissed off
with Netscape Messenger's support for IMAP. BTW, if anyone wants to
make a form of "protest" against use of Exchange/Outlook then configure
your mail clients to support some additional language (I used Norwegian
but any language that includes characters not part of standard English
should work). All your email will be presented in Outlook as .txt
attachments which need to be opened separately and are probably hard to
reply to. :-)
On a related topic, does anyone have any experience with using fetchmail
as an IMAP client? How does it work exactly? Does it just make the
IMAP server effectively act like a POP3 server and pull down all the
mail and delete it? How does it manage multiple mailboxes? It seems to
me that there are no good implementations of IMAP clients under Unix.
Regards,
Christian.
