My first experience with Linux was Redhat 5.0 on an Alpha Jensen.  I believe
it was one of the earliest alphas and there were peculiar things you had to
do to boot it and make it the read the system clock.  However, it ran well
until I got a faster Intel PC to do my testing on.  I haven't had experience
with more recent alphas, but would be surprised if they didn't all run
Linux.
