Subject: [plug] idea for a presentation
Hello pluggers,
I am wondering if there would be any interest in a talk/demo on
Linux in
amateur radio (HAM radio) in a future PLUG meeting - as a kind of
'interesting uses for Linux' thing.
Two areas where Linux is used extensively in amateur radio are
digital
packet radio and Voice/Radio over IP.
I could give a brief talk on this stuff and could probably do a demo
using my linux computer and radio to demonstrate packet radio and
depending on how well RF can get in and out of the meeting room
building,
Voice over IP.
So - anyone interested? (especially committee people, :-) )
Cheers,
Gavin Rogers
