Had a similar problem with a G450 and general use.. 
Re-compiled X with the matrox driver source substituted and it went away.

Yup, works really well..

Umm no.. You need to have 2 screen setups.. one for dual headd, and one for 3d..
bit of a pisser that..
3D accel only works in singlehead mode.. but it does work..

Be warned anyone looking to purchase a Matrox card for the TV out.. the TV out
only works on the G400.. matrox have not seen fit to finish the driver for the
G450.. Am I pissed off.. Bought the card because it had Dualhead/TvOut and was supported
under linux.. the forgot to tell me the two were mutually exclusive :p|
