[plug] SCSI tape problem

I run a very similat setup here.  They only time I've had issues is when 2
applications tried to access the DAT drive at the same time.   it actually
required a reebot to fix it :(

If you mailed me (offlist) your
/proc/scsi/scsi
/proc/scsi/aic7xxx/0
/var/log/dmesg

and
the output from dmesg
then  I could have a look to see if I saw anything strange (or maybe bring
meaning to the problem).
