I beleive that you will see issues.  the easiest way to test it is:

in ~/.procmail add
:0 c
backup

as the first recipie.  This will keep a backup of all you're incomming mail
BEFORE kmail can play with it.

Then just use kmail.

If you don't experience problems then you'll be happy and you can remove the
entries in ~/.procmail.

If you do have problems you will still have a copy of your email (Yay) You can
switch to another MUA and test it.

All this with a minimmum of stress.
