This appears to be your problem Bret, don't assume.. FIND OUT!
Do your homework on your 686, you will find it not as slow for office style
apps as you think.. Install the latest and greatest, just stay away from large
slow software.. like Netscape 6.. Maybe use something else as your main browser.
Install Netscape 4.7<Whatever is the latest>..
Just try it first, bitch about it later...
