Change the following entries in your XP machine using RegEdit:-
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Netlogon\Parameters]
"requirestrongkey"=dword:00000000
"requiresignorseal"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\Netlogon\Parameters]
"requirestrongkey"=dword:00000000
"requiresignorseal"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters]
"requirestrongkey"=dword:00000000
"requiresignorseal"=dword:00000000
as XP will default to requiring the "new and improved" encrypted SMB
logons - thereby stuffing up logins.
You would not believe the sh*t we went through to find this out for
e-smith. :)
Other than that, Paul's got it pretty well covered...
