[plug] [system] works but no icons

Hello any!

Recently I upgraded from Mandrake-8.0 to 8.2.  After upgrade I have a
working system and desktop but absolutely no icons.  That is, there is a
working "START" button and menus but there are no icons on the bar or
desktop.

3 error boxes on boot are:

1.
Sound server fatal error:
        /tmp/mcop-w is not owned by user

2.
Could not start process
Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said:  unknown protocol "file"

3.
Can't load docking tray icon!
