In MS Excel and Word you have a "Format Painter" - a button with a paint
brush icon.  You select some text, or cells in a spread sheet, click on the
button and then, select a different piece of text, or group of cells in the
spreadsheet .... and the format of the first selection is copied to the
second selection.

So, in a spread sheet, if you have three cells in a row merged and the
contents of those cells Bold & Italic, you can select and copy those
formatting features to any other three cell group - similarly you can not
only copy formulas, but the formulas will update themselves to suit their
new physical location.

I have searched HELP in OOo but cannot find a similar feature - however, I
am sure there is one.  Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?
