Easy mate, although it's probably a better idea to nip the problem in the 
bud first, shutdown all extranious bollocks that you don't need (maybe 
certain firewall stuff etc, basically anything that remains unutilised).

As for the window manager thing, good for you! It's great to jump into the 
alternative side of things and it certainly does reap its benefits. I'd 
recommend Window Maker too, as it's been around a long time and is quite 
clean and complete. If you've got a major distro like SuSE, RH or Mandrake 
installed, you'll also have access to the invaluable pre-configured menu 
that they provide.

Anyway, try Window Maker, Ice WM, Blackbox and maybe Enlightenment too. Can 
I suggest that you download "mplayer" from www.mplayerhq.hu and get the 
win32 codecs? Run this with Window Maker with a divx movie and full screen 
turned on and you're in absolute windoze replaced, X Windows heaven!
