[plug] dial in problem

Recently upgraded a rh7.1 to 7.2 server, however one user cannot login
via a dialup account error msg as such:

Could not chdir to home directory /home/usrid: Permission denied
/usr/X11R6/bin/xauth:  timeout in locking authority file
/home/usrid/.Xauthority
bash: /home/userid/.bash_profile: Permission denied
bash-2.05$ 

I've deleted and recreated the account, but this did not help, any
suggestion greatly appreciated.
