Thanks to the ACCC finially doing something, telstra has been forced to 
offer much
lower-level access to their DSLAMs, lines, etc. No more telstra auth 
servers, etc. You'll find the prices will come down a lot now that 
telstra can be largely cut out of the loop.

Our ADSL link here at work has been up for 6 months + w/o interruption. 
ADSL is not inherently unrelable, all you need is a half decent phone 
line and not to use Telstra. :-/
