[plug] OT: ECAWA Big Day Out

For those of you that are interested in technology in schools the ECAWA is 
holding its annual "Big Day Out" (BDO) on Saturday, June 8 at Corpus 
Christi College in Bateman.

See the forwarded announcement below.

ECAWA used to mention a Linux SIG on it's web site, but I cannot find it 
now. Also, there does not appear to be any OSS content included in the BDO.

FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS - Here's some possibilities

* Network with other Primary educators and look at e-portfolios via a web 
browser.
You could use KidPix Studio Deluxe , HyperStudio, PowerPoint or what ever 
software suits.

* Ideas for integrating ICT in classroom situations- maybe with a focus on 
using web "quests" or teacher created web sites to help with student research.

   Half-day:  (incl tea/coffee/biscuits) $30
   Full Day (also incl light lunch) $50

Non ECAWA members:
   As per members price + $50
   (includes membership and reduced cost to all other events for 12 months)

Morning runs from 9.00am - 12.00pm (3 hours)
Afternoon runs from 1.00pm - 4.00pm (3 hours)
