[plug] APT-RPM problems

Thank you Patrick. I am running 7.3.
I think Matt has me on the right track now.
I was using the 'apt-get upgrade' incorrectly. I was not intending to do a
complete upgrade, just an upgrade of abiword.
I subscribe to a service (http://www.tummy.com/krud) which gives updated
CD's each month for Redhat so I use that for full upgrades.
I just wanted to try apt for individual package updates.
Thanks to PLUG again.

I'm going to take a punt and say that you are running 7.3?
It seems some of the packages they have at tuxfamily.org are not as
up-to-date (no pun intended) as I would like (they seem to be a few days
behind the redhat-announce list)
and you may not have all the updates that redhat have released causing the
interesting dependency problems...
All the apt-get upgrade's I have done have worked fine... I suggest if you
have the time and inclination to do a straight apt-get upgrade - that will
upgrade everything you have to the latest release from redhat and you
shouldn't have any issues.
cheers
Patrick
