[plug] Need help with grip under SuSE 8.1

G'day guys/guyesses,

I've just installed SuSE 8.1, and I can't get grip to run, under a normal
userid. Runs under root. I get a message from the CD player that either a
CD is not in the tray or my permissions are wrong for the CD/ROM. I have
checked /dev/cdrom, and the permissions are rwx for everything (owner,
group, world).

Any idea what permissions I need to change to allow me to do these simple
things from a normal userid?
