http://dagobah.ucc.asn.au/kmerlin/

It wont install under a stable debian box, as its compiled against
libc6 2.3.1. But the source is there to build it against a woody
libc6 (2.2.something). Simple as:

$ tar xzf kmerlin_1.0.brb-4.tar.gz
$ cd kmerlin-1.0.brb
$ fakeroot debian/rules binary
# dpkg -i ../kmerlin_1.0.brb-4_i386.deb

It's that simple! (Assuming you have all the required dev packages,
that is ;)

1.0 was written for KDE2 libs and I've never tested it with KDE3.
It's also missing some of the i18n features of kmerlin 1.2 (probably
never a problem if you speak English), but it does logging, and
handles errors slightly better than the original.

The new kmerlin seems to be more focused now on getting something
decent running on PDAs... which could prove very useful for some!

Rgds,

Bernard.
