Just finished the download and doing the install. I'll see how things go. I've noticed that they (IBM) mentioned that the tg3 module has to be removed before this driver is installed.

Hey, Jon, the Broadcom 5700 driver version 2.2.27 sounds wwwaaayyy
old. Have you had a look at their website (www.broadcom.com) because
there is a 6.2.11 version there that is supposed to be the bees' knees,
even solves my zero-MAC-addy problem without updating the firmware. I can
ftp to you if you like.
