To be honest the first time I tried Debian I hated it and the reason was that I didn't know how to
set it up so I just kept dual booting between Windows and Redhat but I mostly still used
Windows.
It wasn't until Woody came out and I'd been working with people that used Debain and I started
getting throughly sick of Windows that I made the switch. Since then I've dropped WIndows
almost completely.
I actually remember anxiously awaiting the release because I didn't want to use potato due to
my first experience with it. People told me that I could just change the apt sources to testing
but I thought that would be kinda dodgey so I waited until the offical release.
It was the package management of Debian that showed me the real advantages of Linux.
In Redhat it seemed that downloading and installing anything turned me into a mad typist for a
short period.
