I don't have a sid system, so I don't know what should be happening
here, but it basically looks like 'ifconfig' is being called with
incorrect arguments (or maybe too many or too few arguments). In woody,
it's the `ifdown` and `ifup` commands that invoke `ifconfig`. Cameron's
advice included mention of the packages whence these commands are
installed.
