Public service announcement on behalf of Onno: 'editor wars' are a
common source of opinion and...'entertainment'. It's all just fun and
games (hmm). You don't *really* have to use vim. Unless you know what's
good for you ;-)

It's insanely convenient. Best of all, it's *optional* and is safely off
by default. I would agree it's overkill, but did I mention that it's
insanely convenient (if you have a use for FTP, that is) ;-) I do
usually use ncftp, though.
