If you want direct Internet mail delivery for your host then:
- you should set up an MX record for your mail domain, pointing it at
your exim host (you can use an A record if necessary, but try to
provide MX records if possible).
- you need to tell exim that it is the final delivery point for mail in
your domain.
- your secondary mail server needs to know that it is allowed to
"relay" (store and forward) mail for your domain.

Umm...well, yes, you need an ISP. But it sounds like you already have
one. Whether running a public SMTP server is against the terms and
conditions of your account I do not know.

Often not truly necessary in this day and age.
